MPW buyer question

MPW pricing factors without public price promises

Understand the factors that shape a mature-node MPW quote before MST confirms price, schedule and partner acceptance by RFQ review.

RFQ non-confidential firstHuman confirmed route

Direct answer

What drives MPW pricing before a formal quote?

MPW pricing factors usually include node, process options, die area, shuttle sharing, mask/reticle assumptions, package/test scope, sample quantity, schedule pressure, compliance review and logistics. MST can screen these inputs, but this page is not a public price list.

  • 90nm, 55nm and 40nm mature-node MPW requests can have different process-option, mask and package/test assumptions.
  • Die-size range, target samples, wafer-only versus packaged samples, wafer probe and packaged functional test materially change the quote path.
  • Schedule windows, partner acceptance, PDK/NDA status and end-use review must be confirmed before MST treats a quote as actionable.

What to prepare

  1. Target process node and process family.
  2. Estimated die area or die-size range.
  3. Target sample count and package/test assumption.
  4. Target tapeout window and flexibility.
  5. Customer country, customer type and non-confidential end-use context.

Public boundary

  1. MST does not publish a public MPW price list for unreviewed requirements.
  2. A public page cannot confirm slot, schedule, partner acceptance, PDK access or export clearance.
  3. Do not send GDS, OASIS, netlists, RTL, PDK files or confidential design IP before the correct NDA path.

Next step

Turn this into a reviewable MPW RFQ

Share a short non-confidential brief first. MST screens node, process, PDK/NDA, package/test, schedule, country and end-use before any sensitive design-file path.
